About me
I have 14 years of experience working for multiple private families and as a child Educator at a UK register charity for 10 years. I also have experience teaching Spanish to children in primary schools for more than 2 years. In all these years one of my greatest aim has been to make each child have a fantastic time whiles babysitting them. Learning a different language, learning their abilities with art and craft, little cooking and bakery tips (following health & safety procedures at all times). I believe each child is unique, with abilities and capacities, which many times they don't know about. I aim to help them to discover a bit more of their uniqueness. I believe parents would like to be at peace knowing that the person that is looking after their children is trustworthy, caring, loving, responsible and would be adding to their children lives and education, and that's what I am about. I would be happy to assist them with general childcare duties, organising their children schedules and activities, helping with homework and transporting (when needed).

Carmen looks after my little son. She is a very caring, trustworthy, efficient and responsible person. For example, she always picks up and drops off my son at school on time. Also, she always makes sure my son is well fed and entertained when I am not around. My son and Carmen would do various activities together such as word games and puzzles. He loves her and loves when she comes to babysit him.
Carmen looked after my daughter for a while and I can only say good things about her. She is kind, caring and enjoys doing activities with children. She used to help her with her homework, go to the park together and do all types of arts and crafts activities. Not only this, but she also used to teach her Spanish. Honestly, Carmen is a great babysitter and my daughter enjoyed her time with her.
Reviews
5.0“Carmen was a last minute booking and she was brilliant!”
5.0“Carmen was excellent - very professional and a natural with children. For me, the most important thing with a babysitter is that my children (4 and 1 years old) feel comfortable with them and are happy for me to leave, which both of them were. Carmen immediately sat down and began to do arts and crafts projects with my daughter. After she left my daughter asked me when she was going to come over to play again. We will definitely be hiring her again.”
5.0“My so loved her”
5.0“Carmen arrived early and was friendly. She was gentle and proactive with our daughter.”
5.0“Carmen is one of our favourite sitters. She is reliable, efficient and great with our 7yr old. Highly recommended”
4.0“Carmen was very punctual and the kids had a good time with her. My daughter tried to push her limits on bedtime and it sounds like Carmen handled it like a pro! One small comment is that it would have been great if she had encouraged the kids to tidy their playroom before bed - always appreciated as a parent to come home to a tidy house! But I would recommend Carmen as a sitter.”
5.0“Thank you for your help!”

4.0“Carmen was really good with my 4 year old son right away. She engaged with him and was very attentive to the bedtime instructions I told her about, and communicated with me openly. Only a bit late due to the traffic but I was really not bothered by that as she let me know exactly what was happening. She is very lovely!”

5.0“Carmen arrived on time and was an instant hit with my 2 year old. She was competent, caring, sensible, aware and very kind with great experience and knowledge. She is a natural with kids. Would happily have her back.”
4.0“Carmen had her work set out for her with Olson. Olson is 14 months and we hadn’t left him alone with a ‘stranger’ before, and he is definitely prone to separation anxiety. However, Carmen managed to keep Olson distracted and playing for most of her time with him. She stayed with him and kept an eye on him while he napped. Carmen is caring, kind and attentive. We would definitely try her again. Perhaps She was a little late, but was happy to make up the time at the end of the shift.”
5.0“Carmen looked after our kids (3 and 4) few times. We were very happy with her. She is very professional and always on time. The kids really liked her. She engaged them with games, art work and was also firm with them when they were not behaving. We are very impressed with her overall and highly recommend her”
5.0“Carmen looked after my 2.5 year old brilliantly- she was engaged, positive and very attentive. She also looked after my 9 week old which again she did excellently. I would not hesitate to book Carmen again - I highly recommend her.”
5.0“Carmen is great. My son really enjoys being with her. She is honest, trustful and cares about my little one. I am really happy and relax when my son stays with her. I will definitely recommend her.”
5.0“Carmen is a wonderful person. She's thoughtful (thinking of local activities that the children may like) and truly shows a genuine care towards our children (very engaging and always talking to them). We are happy to have our children under Carmen's care.”
5.0“Carmen was amazing. The kids were very comfortable with her from the moment she arrived.”
2.0“She was ok but late for half an hour. Then, I had to change my plan. I wouldn't go for her again. I've requested my half an hour money back. I wouldn't go for her again.”
3.0“Professional and very friendly”

4.0“Carmen got a bit lost getting here but when she got here she was really good! She was really kind and caring and my son warmed up to her quickly. I like it that my kids liked her, and I also like the little considerate things she did, for example she cleared away everything she used. Thanks carmen for your care!”
5.0“Carmen came to our house earlier than expected to learn about my son’s routine and I could immediately see that she is very confident about taking care of children. My son bounded with her easily and they were great together! She is very calm and kind, with big warm smiles and lots of energy to play with him and take interest in the things he likes to do. Now he is asking me for her to comeback next time! :) A plus: she speaks many languages and one of them is Portuguese.”
5.0“We loved having Carmen babysit. She arrived early and even taught my son some Spanish before we’d even left the house! Carmen is very warm, professional and capable. We would love to see her again and would recommend her wholeheartedly.”
5.0“Great sitter, arrived early, enquired about our daughter's routine. When we came back she explained how things went and they went really well, she checked on our daughter while she was sleeping. We will definitely ask for her service again! Garcias Carmen!”
