I also travelled with the family to Colombia for a month to help care for the children. I then returned to the UK to resume my main employment. The family has since moved back to the UK and I continue to provide childcare for them on an ad-hoc basis. Employment: I have over 25 years of childcare experience, starting in 2001 as a Teaching Assistant at Phoenix School, a specialist school supporting children with special educational needs. I continue to work there part-time, gaining extensive experience supporting children with autism and complex learning needs. From 2017 to 2026, I also worked as a nanny and babysitter through Sitters, caring for children from newborns through to teenagers and supporting hundreds of families.Experience: 25+ yearsEducation: BA (Hons) Global Business Management — University of Suffolk Graduated: 2024Languages: None listedSkills: Team Teach, Sign Language

Tas came through an agency and we started just asking for her after a short space of time as we were very impressed by her skills, which distinguish her from other child carers. Taslima is extremely honest, professional and experienced child minder. Her personality is so easy going and has the skills to deal with any child using her experience and knowledge. My little girl was so attached to Tas for a lot of the time as she really enjoyed her time with Tas, to the point where she would cry when Tas finished her shift and had to leave. Tas also has an impeccable character. Tas has demonstrated on numerous occasions that she very trustworthy, especially when I have trusted her with my daughter on outings, she always took good care and made sure she kept me up to date with various activities when they are outside. Tas is extremely reliable, she is very committed to the families she services and has shown so many times this through accommodating my requests for last minute child care. She moved things in the diary to ensure she can come and look after my daughter which demonstrates genuine commitment, care and understanding. Tas is fantastic with children and her experience spans working with small children and watching them grow and has genuinely left a very positive impression on my daughter.

Babysitter

Employment: I am the eldest of three siblings, so I have always been used to looking after children. I have particularly helped take care of my younger brother, who is 9 years younger than me. I looked after him from a very young age whenever my parents were not around, so I am comfortable caring for babies and young children and understand the responsibilities that come with it. I also worked as a full-time nanny during one summer in a nursery, where I gained hands-on experience caring for children. My resExperience: 5+ yearsEducation: I come from a computer science background. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems and Software Engineering and a Master’s degree in Data Science.Languages: Arabic, French, GermanSkills: Enhanced DBS

I was Malaak’s supervisor 2 years ago at the nursery where she worked, so I got to know her through her work with the children. Malaak is a very kind, gentle and caring person. She has a naturally calm and warm personality, which the children really responded to. They felt comfortable around her very quickly and would often ask for her when she wasn’t there. She was also very patient and always took the time to listen to the children and understand what they needed. Malaak was someone we could always rely on. She was responsible, honest and professional, and I never had any concerns about trusting her with the children or with her responsibilities. I highly recommend Malaak. She built a lovely relationship with the children and they clearly felt safe and happy around her. She was patient, attentive and caring, and she handled the children calmly even when things became challenging.
